GROUP DESCRIPTIONS

SWIM LOUISIANA uses an athlete progression model that USA Swimming uses as a tool for educating parents, swimmers and coaches about athlete progression and long term development. Each swimmer is given the age and ability appropriate amounts of time in practice, skills, drills and aerobic conditioning to peprare them for long term success as a swimmer and person. Swimmers are trained as a whole, meaning that one stroke and one distance does not take precident over the other events. They are educated on nutrition, time managment, stress control, life balance, character development and yes, swimming FAST!

The Group Program Fees outlined below DO NOT include SPAR Aquatic Center Membership Fees. SWIM LOUISIANA participants who train at the SPAR Site MUST be a valid member of the SPAR Recreation & Aquatic Center, OR pay the daily entrance fee each time they come to practice.  It is suggested that NEW SWIMMERS pay the daily fee until such time that you feel comfortable that purchasing a SPAR Membership is viable. Dropping from the Swim Louisiana program WILL NOT cancel your SPAR Membership contract! In-district participants can purchase SPAR Membership for as little as $17.44 per month, and as little as $28.34 per month for a family of up to 5 people. Out-of-district participants can purchase SPAR Membership for as little as $28.34 per month for a single swimmer, and $54.50 per month for a family of up to 5 people. Unlike the other facilities in the area, a membership with SPAR entitles the participants to use the entire facility whenever they want, NOT just during SWIM LOUISIANA practice times. Please call SPAR at 721-3048 for information on the available membership packages.
