The appropriate attendance recommendations must also have been met,

schedules play a major role in continued improvement.

Group, with a geared emphasis toward competing on a regular
basis. The technique to training ratio for the Gold Group is

The Senior Group serves as our training platform for swimmers who
are 13 or turning 13 within the coming season. This group
serves a multitude of purposes for SWIM LOUISIANA and is our most
diverse training group. These swimmers could be new to the
sport but over the age of 12, swimmers coming in from our gold
group, developing swimmers who need to refine their skills, or even
established swimmers who have multiple commitments to other
activities which limit commitment are all part of this group.
Swimmers in the Senior Group work toward developing a sound aerobic
base while maintaining a solid focus on technique and skill
development. The technique/training ratio for the Senior
Group varies, but is mainly 50% technique to 50% training.

through competitive results and have made swimming their top
athletic activity. They are expected to maintain at or near
100% attendance while in the group, and can be asked to return to
the Senior group if they can’t make the commitment required
for National Prep. This group is a serious training group for
motivated and committed swimmers who want to pursue Regional,
National and hopefully someday international competition.
Swimmers from the Senior Group and Gold Group are promoted to the
National Prep Group after meeting the National Prep Group
